As a counselor, coach, and former college athlete, I understand the mental side of performance from multiple angles. I know what it feels like to chase expectations, battle self-doubt, navigate identity through competition, and try to perform while carrying stress behind the scenes.
That experience is what drives my work today.
My approach blends mental health counseling, performance psychology, and real-life experience to help athletes, coaches, and individuals build confidence, resilience, and clarity; not just in competition, but in life.
I believe performance improves when the person improves.
This work is not about surface-level motivation or pretending pressure doesn’t exist. It’s about learning how to handle adversity, trust yourself under pressure, and create an identity that is bigger than wins, losses, statistics, or outcomes.
Whether I’m working with athletes, teams, parents, or high performers outside of sport, my goal is always the same:
to meet people where they are, help them grow through challenges, and give them tools they can actually use when it matters most.
At the core of Rickman Health & Wellness is a belief that mental strength is built—not born—and that growth happens when people feel understood, challenged, and supported at the same time.
Because this isn’t just about becoming a better athlete.
It’s about becoming someone stronger in every area of life.
